To lead and shape our regional sector association during its next stage of development, we are looking for an experienced, ambitious and motivated candidate to fill the position of: Executive Director, Asia Pacific International Spirits & Wines Alliance (APISWA)
Role Description
Full Time
The Executive Director provides overall leadership to APISWA, ensuring the effective delivery of its purpose, vision, and mission in collaboration with its 10 member companies. Operating in a lean organisational model, the role requires an experienced leader who is comfortable combining strategic direction with hands-on execution. The Executive Director is responsible for shaping APISWA’s regional agenda, aligning members around shared priorities, and representing the organisation with credibility and authority across Asia Pacific.
Responsibilities
Strategic and execution leadership
- Co-creating and executing APISWA’s multi-year strategy with member companies
- Serving as a credible and trusted leader for the organisation across Asia Pacific
- Inspiring, engaging, and aligning member companies to achieve shared goals
Advocacy
- Leading APISWA’s advocacy agenda across trade, tax, and alcohol policy
- Shaping positive policy outcomes across the region by engaging constructively with governments and stakeholders
- Representing the industry at the highest levels at senior regional and international forums
- Serving as APISWA’s primary spokesperson
Organisational growth
- Leading and developing the Secretariat and the Public Affairs & Programmes Manager
- Overseeing the operations, governance and budget of the organisation
- Ensure strong member engagement, alignment, and effective coalition management
Experience
- Senior professional working in Corporate Affairs/Public Policy roles
- Proven experience in successful policy development & strategic planning at a senior level
- Strong experience and knowledge in trade, policy, governance and public advocacy
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders across the region
- Experience working in a senior leadership position or public policy role in a trade association / business group, highly preferred

- Excellent strategic thinker alongside a bias to execution and delivery
- Outstanding policy skills, with strong project and programme management skills
- Highly effective influencing and negotiant skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
- Strong communication skills
- Able to lead coalitions and convene members successfully
Location
- Singapore, negotiable within a SEA location depending on candidate
- Regional and international travel will be required
Renumeration
- In line with professional experience
Preferred starting date
- 1st July 2026
