Manila, Philiippines, 21 September 2024 – Following an August meeting with the Philippine Government’s Anti-Red Tape Authority to discuss the Administrative Order on Alcohol and Health, APISWA and ABAPI agreed to launch a responsible retailing initiative. In September, APISWA in collaboration with ABAPI, successfully launched the “Responsible Retailing for Micro-enterprises in the Philippines” training module during a Train-the-Trainers (ToT) session in Manila.

PASCO represents over 7,000 members nationwide

This module, which is hosted on APISWA’s EdApp platform, was specifically developed for the Philippine Association of Stores and Carinderia Owners (PASCO), which represents over 7,000 members nationwide. The rollout of this training by certified trainers across the Philippines will not only support retailers in adhering to responsible retailing principles but also set the stage for the upcoming launch of the Philippines Standards Coalition (PSC), scheduled for October 25, 2024.
