Bangkok, Thailand, 6 June 2024 – APISWA hosted its first-ever regional conference, “Empowering our sector to navigate future challenges.” This conference brought together 56 participants from 17 APAC Trade Associations and 9 producer companies to discuss the global alcohol and health agenda.

Key discussions focused on the risk of further restrictions on the industry, the trends in alcohol and health data across APAC, and the growing traction of the WHO’s “No safe Level” narrative. The conference emphasized the need to deepen industry collaboration, secure better data on alcohol harm, and strategic engagement to instruct the public debate and tackle the harmful use of alcohol.
