On 18th September 2022, APISWA launched our joint illicit trade paper, “Towards an ASEAN Community: Tackling Illicit Alcohol in Southeast Asia”, co-written with the Alliance Against Counterfeit Spirits (AACS) the EU-ASEAN Business Council, and the Transnational Alliance to Combat Illicit Trade (TRACIT), at the Siem Reap Policy Dialogue alongside the ASEAN Economic Ministers meetings in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

APISWA Corporate Affairs Director, Gabriel Opoku-Asure, presented a keynote on the Illicit Alcohol in Southeast Asia report and spoke on the panel “Protecting Consumers & Promoting Fair Trade and Innovation” alongside H.E. Phan Oun, Director-General of the Consumer Protection, Competition and Fraud (CCF), Ministry of Commerce, and Dr. Esteban Giudici from TRACIT, to an audience of 100 people, including attendees from government, business leaders, and NGOs across various sectors.
